THIS MAKES MY LIFE

That whole band is effing amazing. I admit that I generally don’t pay that much attention to the band when there’s other stuff happening, but they ROCK. -LM

It’s like that speech Margaret Mead gives in our show: “Be who you want to be. Go home and tell your kids to be free.” If I ever win any award, I’m using that in my acceptance speech.

:)

In an attempt to focus on the positive, here are some things I like right now/sometimes/always:

  1. Diet Coke.
  2. Drinking through a straw.
  3. This post at The Sartorialist.
  4. The term “Quidditch WAG.”
  5. Mascara.
  6. Under The Blacklight by Rilo Kiley.
  7. Mini binder clips.
  8. The upcoming Broadway revival of Hair.
  9. Using the label maker.
  10. Traveling to Europe — oh, good thing I’m flying to Berlin tomorrow!!!

Sometimes I just have to remind myself what a lucky girl I actually am. And remember, kids, your life could always be worse.

Light pillars scrape the night sky over Victor, Idaho, on January 26. The explanation appears to be that these light pillars, far from signifying contact with outer space, are formed when artificial light bounces off the facets of flat ice crystals relatively close to the ground. But it’s an awesome display, nonetheless.

Goodness gracious, gorgeous. -LM
